Underwater Museum of art
Known as MUSA, this museum is the work of sculptor and photographer Jason de Caires Taylor. As its name suggests it is an underwater Museum, so the exhibition of sculptures of the Museum is located under the water. Since its opening in 2010, the Museum has been a great success, becoming one of the main attractions of Cancun. To see the sculptures they do tours to diving and glass-bottom boat.
Cancun has an important activity of nightlife, numerous places in the hotel area of the city that offer all kinds of parties and environments, normally between the midnight and four in the morning. Some locals as Coco Bongo have great fame.
This museum, located in the jungle of San Miguelito offers a great opportunity to move closer to the Mayan culture which for centuries had settlement in the area. Multitude of objects found in archaeological excavations of Quintana Roo are shown in his exhibitions.
Archeological site El Rey
Part of what is today Cancun, the Maya settled between the years 200 and 1550 AD approximately. The remains of some buildings, emphasizing the number 2, a temple that was used for a burial of a person of great importance to the Maya and some paintings and drawings of great interest have survived until this day.
