About Rome

Rome is the capital of Italy better known as the "Eternal City" for its countless landmarks and archaeological remains that can be found in any of its streets. For this reason Rome is one of the most visited cities worldwide.

Rome offers to its visitors, endless antiquities, among which we highlight The Colosseum (one of the 7 Wonders of the World), The Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum (where you can appreciate important archaeological remains) and the Pantheon of Agrippa with its impressive dome.

Rome is also known as the "City of the two states" due to the Vatican, where you can visit the famous St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museum with its objects of incalculable artistic value.

In Rome we also recommend visiting:

The Colosseum of Rome is an ancient building dating back to Roman Empire and has become a representative icon of Rome. The Coliseum is very famous around the world for being the scene of gladiatorial shows and fights with wild beasts. Due to its popularity, all Rome visitors wish to enter into the Colosseum, so we recommend purchasing your entrance ticket in advance in our section of tours and activities.

The Roman Forum an area that hosts numerous remains of religious and administrative buildings of the old Roman Empire. Among the most important remains we highlight the Temple of Castor and Pollux, Arch of Titus, the Basilica of Maxentius. This landmark is closest to the Colosseum and is a must visit for every Rome’s visitor.

The Pantheon of Agrippa is an ancient temple that was built to worship the Roman gods at late of first century BC. It is one of the best conserved Roman buildings and stands out for its impressive dome that in its interior has a large oculus which allows entry of natural light. This temple has served as inspiration for the construction of important monuments like the Florence Duomo and the St. Peter's Basilica. The entrance to this place is free.

The Circus Maximus is an ancient horse chariot racing stadium, built to hold a large number of spectators (about 200,000 people) seated at one of the stands located on both sides of the stadium. Currently there are few remains of the Circus Maximus and in its place you can appreciate a wide esplanade where the original track was located.

The Castel of Sant'Angelo is located in an ancient Roman structure built to serve as the mausoleum of the Emperor Hadrian family, but few centuries later it was used as a military fortification to protect the Pope and the Clergy. Its name is due to an old legend which talks about the appearance of the Archangel Michael at the top of castle announcing the end of a plague extended around the city, to remember this fact an sculpture of the angel was placed in the same place it have appeared. From the terrace of the castle you can have a wonderful panoramic view of Rome.

The Trevi Fountain is the most famous fountain in Rome and also one of the most visited tourist attractions by the visitors of the city. The Trevi Fountain is formed by several sculptures representing Neptune mounted on some seahorses surrounded by newts and other marine figures. Is a popular tradition to throw coins into the fountain before asking any desire.
