Museum “human body” (corpus) was inaugurated in March 2008 by Queen Beatrix. This unique museum consists of a travel to the body where you can see, feel and hear how it works and how important it is healthy food, healthy living and sport. Travel in this museum takes about an hour, and the visitor will be presented with all the miracles that happen in the human body.
The museum is 35 meters high and consists of a transparent building with the human body shape. Questions like “Why should you sleep”, “what happens when you sneeze?”, “As I grow hair?” Find their answer in this museum.
Corpus Museum uses the latest technology, sound and 3D effects, all objects in the museum are made of fiberglass colored to appear more real to present and explain all the medical aspects of the human body. Visitors enter the museum through the knee to the body, traveling through eight galleries then marched to the brain; the journey lasts approximately 55 minutes.
Along the way, you can watch 3D movies on fertilization, can jump on a rubber tongue and can look like a sandwich is digested. Corpus Museum offers an audio tour in 8 international languages: Dutch, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and Russian.
Corpus Museum is open Tuesday to Sunday between 9:30 and 19:00; Friday close at 22:00
