About Albuquerque

Albuquerque is an American city in the State of New Mexico, with a population of about 700. It was founded in 1706 by Spanish colonialists, whose impact is still evident today in a number of instances ways.

Albuquerque is the city of balloons. Every year, in October, the event is organized in which hundreds of balloons ascend, resulting in a magnificent display, full of beautiful colours.

Sandia Peak Aerial Tram

Albuquerque has the longest cableway in the world, a means of transport that can take you to the top of the Sandia Mountains, some 3169 meters high, a place where you can enjoy stunning panoramic views.

Biological Park

This enclosure, divided into three different areas (zoo, aquarium and botanical garden) is a quiet and beautiful place with lots to offer, ideal for the whole family.

Sports and Activities

Given the geographic and climatic conditions of Albuquerque, it makes the city an ideal environment for the practice of many outdoor sports. Route 66

Although officially no longer called Route 66, thousands of people continue to use this road of almost 4000 kilometres that runs between Chicago and Los Angeles. In the Albuquerque sector, since 1926, Route 66 has run along Fourth Street and is full of motels, restaurants and gift shops. However, many of the most emblematic buildings relating to Route 66 in Albuquerque are on the Central Avenue.
